it’s weird to be a baby

i’ve been telling my friends this for years.  a newborn needs only so many things:

  • to sleep
  • to eat
  • to be held
  • to poop
  • to have a diaper change

[yes, parents. your child is a beautiful and unique snowflake: there is room for finesse here – and each baby has other stuff that matters to it.]

but there is a 6th factor that must be reckoned with – that it’s bloody weird to be a baby. or as my friend liam says, “babies are shit at being babies.”

case in point – they don’t see well.  but technology has created a way for us to see how they see, and to perhaps understand the weirdness of being a baby.  check out Tiny Eyes.  (Via PSFK)
